The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Dust Storm Warning for...
  Eastern McLean County in central Illinois...

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 330 PM CDT, a channel of dust was along a line extending from 
  near Colfax to near Le Roy, and is nearly stationary or lifting
  northeast.

  HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with strong wind in 
           excess of 40 mph.

  SOURCE...Public.

  IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.

* This includes Interstate 74 between mile markers 142 and 145.
 
Locations impacted include...
Colfax, Downs, Saybrook, Arrowsmith, Cropsey, Ellsworth, Cooksville,
Anchor, Holder, and Moraine View State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not drive into a dust storm. PULL ASIDE STAY ALIVE!

...THE DUST STORM WARNING FOR EASTERN MCLEAN COUNTY WILL EXPIRE AT
500 PM CDT...

The dust storm which prompted the warning has weakened. Therefore, 
the dust storm warning will be allowed to expire at 5 pm. Areas of 
blowing dust with low visibility less than 1 mile will continue at 
times. The blowing dust advisory continues until 6 pm.
