The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a

* Dust Advisory for...
  South central Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico...
  Western El Paso County in western Texas...

* Until 900 PM MDT.

* At 819 PM MDT, a wall of dust was 11 miles southwest of Santa 
  Teresa, moving northeast at 30 mph. 

  HAZARD...Less than one mile visibility with strong wind in excess 
           of 40 mph.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Hazardous travel.

Locations impacted include...
Highway 9 east of the Luna County line, Santa Teresa, Sunland Park, 
Union Pacific Intermodal Terminal, and Mount Riley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving
conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in
dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep
your foot off the brake.
