Anomalous moisture and lift will overspread the region, focused over the northeast Piedmont to the northern Coastal Plain from late tonight through Tuesday evening. While the region has been dry over the last several weeks with higher flash flood guidance, training storms with high rainfall rates could support flash flooding in the watch area. Expected rainfall totals could range from 2 to 5 inches. Isolated higher amounts of 5 to 8 inches are also possible.
