...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Illinois, including the following
counties, Clay, Jasper and Richland.
* WHEN...Until 715 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 424 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Olney, Flora, Newton, Louisville, Clay City, Noble, Xenia,
Ste. Marie, Willow Hill, Sailor Springs, Olney Noble Airport,
Bogota, Wendelin, Wakefield, Ingraham, Dundas, West Liberty,
Flora Municipal Airport and Sam Parr State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
