...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Missouri,
including the following counties, in south central Missouri,
Howell, Shannon and Texas. In southwest Missouri, Douglas and
Ozark.
* WHEN...Until 915 PM CDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 314 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen.
- This includes the following low water crossings...
Lick Creek at County Road 528, Bennetts River at Highway 142,
Bennetts Bayou at Highway 142, Eleven Point River at County
Road 1550, Spring Creek at County Road 349, Possum Walk Creek
at Highway T and Gill Branch at Highway Y.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
West Plains, Mountain View, Willow Springs, Gainesville,
Bakersfield, Pomona, South Fork, Pontiac, Sundown,
Pottersville, Siloam Springs, Caulfield, Dora, Moody,
Sycamore, Tecumseh, Udall, Zanoni, White Church, Lanton,
Hardenville, Peace Valley, Isabella, Norfork Lake, Bull
Shoals Lake and Ozark National Scenic Riverways.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD ADVISORY HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A FLASH FLOOD WARNING...
The Flood Advisory is replaced by a Flash Flood Warning for portions
of south central and southwest Missouri, including the following
areas, in south central Missouri, Howell, Shannon and Texas. In
southwest Missouri, Douglas and Ozark.
The threat of flooding continues and a Flash Flood Warning is now in
effect. Please refer to that bulletin for more information.
