...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Michigan,
including the following counties, in south central Michigan,
Calhoun. In southwest Michigan, Kalamazoo.
* WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 556 PM EDT, Radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain has fallen in
the last hour, and an additional 1 to 1.5 inches of rain is
possible over the next hour. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kalamazoo, Portage, Marshall, Battle Creek, Galesburg,
Parchment, Climax, Richland, Gull Lake, Comstock Northwest,
Brownlee Park, Westwood, Augusta, Scotts, Bedford, Comstock,
Ceresco and Oshtemo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

overwhelmed storm drains have been received in both Kalamazoo and
Battle Creek areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 751 PM EDT, Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen
in the last few hours. Additional light rain over the next
few hours could add an additional one-half inch of rain.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...

southwest Michigan, including the following areas, in south central
Michigan, Calhoun. In southwest Michigan, Kalamazoo.
Flood waters have receded. The heavy rain has ended. Urban and small
stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please
continue to heed remaining road closures.
