...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
counties, Chambers, Harris and Liberty.
* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent. Water has already begun impacting
portions of I-10 in western Chambers County.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 605 PM CDT, the public reported heavy rain in the advisory
area due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small
stream flooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Baytown, Beach City, Mont Belvieu, Old River-Winfree and
Cove.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Flood waters have receded. Urban and small stream flooding is no
