...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM PDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of California, including the following counties,
Nevada and Sierra and western Nevada, including the following
county, Washoe.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 554 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.2 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Interstate 80 between the California state line and mile
marker 194 in California. Boca Reservoir, Floriston,
Hirschdale, Truckee and Boca Rest Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for portions of California,
including the following areas, Nevada and Sierra and western Nevada,
including the following area, Washoe.
The threat for widespread flooding has increased over the area.
Therefore the Flood Advisory has been replaced by a Flash Flood
Warning. Please refer to that bulletin for more information.
