...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM MDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Montana, including the 
  following county, southwestern Yellowstone.

* WHEN...Until 200 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Rises in small streams and normally dry coulees. Water over 
  roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in 
  urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1042 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to slow moving thunderstorms. This
    will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 2
    inches of rain have fallen based on radar estimates.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Billings, Laurel, Lockwood, Billings Heights, Shepherd,
    Huntley, Billings West End, Worden and Ballantine.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles. Do not drive on or attempt to cross 
flooded roads, find an alternate route. Roads and driveways may be 
damaged or washed out in places.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency officials and 
request they pass the information to the National Weather Service in 
Billings.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 2 AM MDT early this morning for a 
portion of south central Montana, including the following area, 
Yellowstone.

The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no 
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining 
road closures, and be alert for road damage that may have occurred 
due to the flooding.
