...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM PST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest Oregon, including the following 
  counties, Benton, Clackamas, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Polk and 
  Yamhill.

* WHEN...Until 1015 PM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  River and stream flows are elevated and rising.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 416 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated moderate to heavy rain. This will cause urban and
    small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in widespread
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Eugene, Salem, Corvallis, Albany, McMinnville, Dallas, Sweet
    Home, Lincoln City, Sheridan, Detroit, Springfield, Lebanon,
    Monmouth, Silverton, Independence, Stayton, Junction City,
    Philomath, Mount Hood Village and Harrisburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

The Flood Advisory is replaced by a Flood Warning for a portion of 
northwest Oregon, including the following areas, Benton, Clackamas, 
Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Polk and Yamhill.

The threat of flooding continues and a Flood Warning is now in 
effect. Please refer to that bulletin for more information.
