...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Liberty County in southeastern Georgia...
Long County in southeastern Georgia...
McIntosh County in southeastern Georgia...
* WHEN...Until 845 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 642 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Hinesville, Tibet, Jones, Walthourville, Riceboro, Allenhurst,
Retreat, Brickston, Murrays Crossing and Lecount.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...
The Flood Advisory is cancelled for a portion of southeast Georgia,
including the following areas, Liberty, Long and McIntosh.
The heavy rain has ended, however isolated light to moderate rain
will linger over the next couple hours. Flooding is no longer
expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road
closures.
