...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...The Flash Flood Warning has been converted to a Flood 
  Advisory as thunderstorms have ended but flood conditions may 
  persist. Showers are expected to continue over the next couple of 
  hours before ending this evening.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Maine, including the following 
  county, Piscataquis.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 455 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Parkman and Wellington.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where 
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become 
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or 
creeks.
