...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of western Nevada, including the Conner Burn 
  Scar and the following county, Douglas.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Heavy rains over the Conner Burn Scar may induce flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 627 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding may be ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of Douglas County

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Recent burn areas are more prone to flooding, debris flows, and rock 
falls. Plugged culverts, rocks and debris on roads, and water and 
mud over roads are common during moderate to heavy rains. Increased 
sediment and debris can lead to impacts in areas typically not prone 
to flooding. Use extra caution when traveling in or below recent 
burn areas. Impactful flooding and debris flows may be generated by 
15 minutes or less of heavy rainfall.
