...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of western Nevada, including the following 
  county, Washoe.

* WHEN...Until 1115 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 810 PM PDT, Trained weather spotters reported heavy rain
    in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 0.5 and 0.8
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Reno, Sparks, Reno-Tahoe International Airport, Caughlin
    Ranch and Sun Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
