* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of central and northern California, including the
following counties, in central California, Placer. In northern
California, Sacramento and Sutter.
* WHEN...Until 730 PM PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 552 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms over the past hour. Minor flooding is ongoing
in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pleasant Grove, Elverta, Sheridan and Rio Linda.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...FLOOD ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 730 PM PST THIS EVENING...
The Flood Advisory will expire at 730 PM PST this evening for
portions of central and northern California, including the following
areas, in central California, Placer. In northern California,
Sacramento and Sutter.
The heavy rain has ended. Urban and small stream flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat at this time. Please continue to
heed remaining road closures. A Flood Watch remains in effect until
Friday afternoon as additional rounds of moderate to heavy rain is
forecast.
