...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 AM PST THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northwest California, including the following
county, Del Norte.
* WHEN...Until 615 AM PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1217 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will
cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch
of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Crescent City, Jedediah Smith State Park, Klamath, Jack
McNamera Field, Gasquet, Bertsch-Oceanview, Smith River,
Crescent City North, Klamath Glen, Requa and Fort Dick.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent. There will be an increased risk of rock
and land slides along roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 459 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will
cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch
of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...

portion of northwest California, including the following area, Del
Norte.
Flood waters have receded. The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and
small stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please
continue to heed remaining road closures.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1200 PM PST for a portion of
northwest California...
