* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central Kentucky, including the following
counties, Breckinridge, Bullitt, Franklin, Grayson, Hardin, Hart,
Jefferson, Larue, Meade, Nelson, Shelby and Spencer.
* WHEN...Until 415 AM CDT /515 AM EDT/.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 106 AM CDT /206 AM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Elizabethtown, Shelbyville, Bardstown, Shepherdsville,
Leitchfield, Hodgenville, Taylorsville, Radcliff, Mount
Washington and Hillview.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

- At 407 AM CDT /507 AM EDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and
3 inches of rain have fallen.

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for a portion of central Kentucky,
including the following areas, Breckinridge, Bullitt, Franklin,
Grayson, Hardin, Hart, Jefferson, Larue, Meade, Nelson, Shelby and
Spencer.
The threat for widespread flooding has increased over the area.
Therefore the Flood Advisory has been replaced by a Flood Warning.
