...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM PST EARLY THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northwest California, including the following
county, west central Humboldt.
* WHEN...Until 600 AM PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 132 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor
flooding in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Eureka, Arcata, Fortuna, Rio Dell, Carlotta, Scotia,
McKinleyville, Ferndale, Blue Lake, Pine Hills, Freshwater,
Cutten, Rohnerville, Hydesville, Humboldt Hill, Fernbridge,
Myrtletown, Bayview, Loleta and Kneeland.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 9 AM PST this morning for a
portion of northwest California, including the following area,
Humboldt.
The heavy rain has ended. Flood waters have receded. Urban area and
small stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please
continue to heed remaining road closures.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1200 PM PST for a portion of
northwest California.
