...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Nebraska, including the following
counties, Nemaha, Pawnee and Richardson.
* WHEN...Until 100 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 952 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen over the past hour.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area in the next hour or two. This additional rain
will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Falls City, Humboldt, Table Rock, Verdon, Rulo, Stella,
Shubert, Du Bois, Dawson, Salem, Preston, Barada, The Highway
75 And 8 Junction, Indian Cave State Park, Kirkmans Cove
Recreation Area and Sac and Fox Nation Reservation.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
