...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM MST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Maricopa County in south central Arizona...

* WHEN...Until 215 AM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1115 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has
    fallen.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Grass Wash, Pump Mine Wash, Tiger Wash, Dead Horse Wash, Browns
    Canyon Wash, Woodchopper Wash and Jackrabbit Wash.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Mainly rural areas of Maricopa County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
