...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest California, including the following
county, west-central Los Angeles.
* WHEN...Until 500 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 329 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms in the area. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Also,
localized rock slides and mud slides will be possible. A
minor debris flow will also be possible in and around the
Hurst Burn Scar.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Northridge, Santa Clarita, Van Nuys, Chatsworth, North
Hollywood, Encino, Woodland Hills, Granada Hills, Sylmar,
Porter Ranch, Pacoima, Canoga Park, San Fernando, Arleta,
Panorama City, Reseda, Sun Valley, North Hills, Lakeview
Terrace and Winnetka.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
