...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Colorado, including the following counties, 
  Montrose and San Miguel and southeast Utah, including the 
  following county, San Juan.

* WHEN...Until 530 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. River 
  or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 325 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream
    flooding. Between 0.6 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Big Gypsum Creek, Coyote Wash, Little Gypsum Creek and
    Dolores River.
    Additional rainfall amounts of 0.3 to 0.6 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of Northwestern San Miguel, Southwestern
    Montrose and Northeastern San Juan Counties

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
