...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, north central, and northeast 
  Kansas, including the following counties, in east central Kansas, 
  Geary. In north central Kansas, Clay, Cloud and Ottawa. In 
  northeast Kansas, Pottawatomie and Riley.

* WHEN...Until 330 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1227 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Manhattan, Clay Center, Wakefield, Riley, Miltonvale,
    Milford, Leonardville, Olsburg, Randolph, Green, Longford,
    Oak Hill, Milford Lake, Keats, Idana and Tuttle Creek Lake.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Advisory is replaced by a Flash Flood Warning for portions 
of east central, north central, and northeast Kansas, including the 
following areas, in east central Kansas, Geary. In north central 
Kansas, Clay, Cloud and Ottawa. In northeast Kansas, Pottawatomie 
and Riley.

The threat of flooding continues and a Flash Flood Warning is now in 
effect. Please refer to that bulletin for more information.
