...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southern Covington County in south central Alabama...
  Southeastern Escambia County in south central Alabama...
  Northern Okaloosa County in northwestern Florida...
  Northeastern Santa Rosa County in northwestern Florida...

* WHEN...Until 900 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 557 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Florala, Laurel Hill, Lockhart, Falco, Wing, Beda, Good Hope,
    Escambia Farms, Bradley, Rock Creek, Parker Springs, Huckaville,
    Belandville, McLellan, Roberts, Sellersville and Stedman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Advisory is replaced by a Flash Flood Warning for portions
of south central Alabama, including the following areas, Covington
and Escambia and northwest Florida, including the following areas,
Okaloosa and Santa Rosa.
