...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Saint Charles County in east central Missouri...
  Saint Louis County in east central Missouri...
  Saint Louis City in east central Missouri...

* WHEN...Until 500 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 109 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This  will cause urban and small stream flooding.
    Expect 1 to 3 inches of rain in a short period of time.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
    area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    St. Louis, OFallon, St. Charles, St. Peters, Florissant,
    Chesterfield, Wildwood, University City, Ballwin, Wentzville,
    Kirkwood, Maryland Heights, Hazelwood, Webster Groves, Ferguson,
    Manchester, Creve Coeur and Overland.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

...FLOOD ADVISORY HAS EXPIRED...

The Flood Advisory has expired for a portion of east central
Missouri, including the following areas and independent city, Saint
Charles, Saint Louis and Saint Louis City.

Flood waters have receded. The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and
small stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please
continue to heed remaining road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT Monday for portions
of Illinois and Missouri.
