...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by runoff from
excessive rainfall earlier this morning. .
* WHERE...Portions of east central, north central, and northeast
Kansas, including the following counties, in east central Kansas,
Geary. In north central Kansas, Clay. In northeast Kansas,
Pottawatomie and Riley.
* WHEN...Until 945 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Wildcat creek on the west side of Manhattan has been flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 438 AM CDT, 1 to 3 inches of rainfall fell earlier this
morning. The runoff from the this heavy rainfall may continue
to flood roadways, creeks and low-lying areas.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Manhattan, Clay Center, Wakefield, Riley, Milford,
Leonardville, Olsburg, Randolph, Green, Milford Lake, Keats
and Tuttle Creek Lake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for portions of east central, north
central, and northeast Kansas, including the following areas, in
east central Kansas, Geary. In north central Kansas, Clay. In
northeast Kansas, Pottawatomie and Riley.
Flood waters have receded. The heavy rain has ended. Urban and small
stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please
continue to heed remaining road closures.
