...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northwest, and west central 
  Missouri, including the following counties, in north central 
  Missouri, Caldwell, Carroll, Daviess, Grundy and Livingston. In 
  northwest Missouri, Clinton and DeKalb. In west central Missouri, 
  Clay and Ray.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is 
  likely.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 454 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cameron, Chillicothe, Kearney, Lawson, Plattsburg, Lathrop,
    Hamilton, Gallatin, Gower, Maysville, Braymer, Stewartsville,
    Trimble, Polo, Jamesport, Holt, Osborn, Hale, Breckenridge
    and Kingston.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Advisory has expired for portions of north central, 
northwest, and west central Missouri, including the following areas, 
in north central Missouri, Caldwell, Carroll, Daviess, Grundy and 
Livingston. In northwest Missouri, Clinton and DeKalb. In west 
central Missouri, Clay and Ray.

The heavy rain has ended. A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect 
for portions of the area. Please continue to heed remaining road 
closures.
