...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Kansas, including the following 
  counties, Linn and Miami and west central Missouri, including the 
  following counties, Bates and Cass.

* WHEN...Until 415 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 112 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Pleasanton, La Cygne, Mound City, Drexel, Linn Valley, Hume,
    Blue Mound, Prescott, Amsterdam, Amoret, Foster, Merwin and
    Worland.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD ADVISORY HAS EXPIRED...

The Flood Advisory has expired for portions of east central Kansas, 
including the following areas, Linn and Miami and west central 
Missouri, including the following areas, Bates and Cass. However, 
part of the area has been upgraded to a flash flood warning.

The threat for widespread flooding has increased over the area. 
Therefore the Flood Advisory has been replaced by a Flood Warning. 
Please refer to that bulletin for more information.
