...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM EDT /615 PM CDT/ THIS
EVENING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, La
Porte and St. Joseph and southwest Michigan, including the
following counties, Berrien and Cass MI.
* WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT /615 PM CDT/.
* IMPACTS...Flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 516 PM EDT /416 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small
stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
South Bend, Mishawaka, Michigan City, La Porte, Niles,
Westville, Buchanan, Georgetown, Trail Creek, Granger, New
Buffalo, New Carlisle, Three Oaks, Edwardsburg, Long Beach,
Roseland, Pottawattamie Park, Shorewood-Tower Hills-Harbert,
Shorewood-Tower Hill and Bertrand.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
