...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of North Mississippi, including the following 
  counties, Lafayette, Panola, Quitman, Tallahatchie and Yalobusha.

* WHEN...Until 345 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1242 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Oxford, Batesville, Water Valley, George Payne State Park,
    John W Kyle State Park, Holly Springs National Forest, Marks,
    Sardis, Como, Crenshaw, Crowder, Sledge, Pope, Enid, Burgess,
    Pleasant Grove, Curtis Station, Springdale, Velma and
    Darling.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 345 AM CDT early this morning for 
a portion of North Mississippi, including the following areas, 
Lafayette, Panola, Quitman, Tallahatchie and Yalobusha.

The heavy rain has ended. Urban and small stream flooding is no 
longer expected to pose a threat.
