...REPLACES FLOOD WARNING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of East Arkansas, including the following
counties, Craighead, Mississippi and Poinsett.
* WHEN...Until 245 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 109 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in Trumann. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have
fallen since this morning.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Jonesboro, Blytheville, Osceola, Trumann, Gosnell, Manila,
Marked Tree, Harrisburg, Bono, Lake City, Leachville,
Lepanto, Bay, Brookland, Monette, Caraway, Tyronza, Keiser,
Weiner and Joiner.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

- At 233 PM CDT, Between 3 and 8 inches of rain have fallen
across the area today. Up to one more inch of rain is
expected before the rain ends.

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for a portion of East Arkansas,
including the following areas, Craighead, Mississippi and Poinsett.
The heavy rain has moved out of the area. Additional flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat, although some flood waters may
continue to cause problems on roadways as they recede. Please
continue to heed remaining road closures.
