...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MDT /8 PM CDT/ THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Nebraska, including the following
counties, Chase and Hayes.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT /800 PM CDT/.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 355 PM MDT /455 PM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5
and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wauneta, Enders, Enders Reservoir State Recreation Area,
Hamlet, Area A Campground, Center Dam Campground and Church
Grove Campground.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
