* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northwestern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...
Southwestern Pinal County in southeastern Arizona...
* WHEN...Until 1130 PM MST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry washes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 829 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.8 and 1.4 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Santa Rosa, Anegam, North Komelik, Palo Verde Stand and San Luis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 1130 PM MST this evening for a
portion of South Central Arizona, including the following areas, Pima
and Pinal.
The heavy rain has ended. Flood waters have receded. Flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining
road closures.
