...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central South Carolina, including the 
  following county, Orangeburg.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 511 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
    urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of
    rain have fallen. Orangeburg County Airport ASOS reported
    1.13 inches in 21 minutes.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Orangeburg, Brookdale, Orangeburg County Airport, Edisto
    Gardens, South Carolina State University, Claflin College,
    Rowesville, Cordova, Cope, Edisto and Wilkinson Heights.
  - This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 148 and 154.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a 
flooded roadway or around barricades. Turn around, dont drown.
