...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM PST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Hydrologic flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of Lassen County, including the Susan River from
Susanville eastward to Honey Lake.
* WHEN...Until 115 AM PST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. The
Susan River at Susanville is currently at 12 feet or minor flood
stage.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 127 AM PST, Doppler radar and local rain gages have
reported ongoing heavy rain. Rapid river rises may cause
minor to moderate flooding in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Susanville, Standish, Susanville Municipal Airport and
Junction CA 36 And CA 44.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
