...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM EDT WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Central Kershaw County in central South Carolina...
Southeastern Lancaster County in central South Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 1245 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1051 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Camden, Lake Wateree Dam, Kershaw, Heath Springs, Westville,
Goodale State Park, Lugoff, Dekalb, North Central High School,
North Towne Square Shopping Center, Woodward Airfield and Kershaw
Correctional Institution.
- This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile
markers 94 and 102.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a flooded
roadway or around barricades. Turn around, dont drown.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
