...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Northwestern Lexington County in central South Carolina...
  Southeastern Newberry County in central South Carolina...
  Eastern Saluda County in central South Carolina...

* WHEN...Until 145 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1149 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This  will cause urban and small stream flooding.
    Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Newberry, Batesburg-Leesville, Prosperity, Ridge Spring, Little
    Mountain, Monetta, Pomaria, Ward, Wyses Ferry, Circle Fire
    Station, Riverbend Boat Ramp, Stoney Hill, Delmar, Hollywood
    Elementary School, Lake Murray Shores, Fairview Fire Station,
    Cedar Grove Fire Station and Mid-Carolina High School.
  - This includes Interstate 26 between mile markers 74 and 87.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a flooded
roadway or around barricades. Turn around, dont drown.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
