* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northwestern Pottawatomie County in northeastern Kansas...
Northwestern Riley County in northeastern Kansas...
* WHEN...Until 600 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 302 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Olsburg, Randolph, and areas surrounding Tuttle Creek Lake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 845 AM CDT this morning for a
portion of northeast Kansas, including the following areas,
Pottawatomie and Riley.
The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining
road closures.
