...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Geary County in east central Kansas...
Southwestern Pottawatomie County in northeastern Kansas...
Southwestern Riley County in northeastern Kansas...
* WHEN...Until 845 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 541 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Manhattan, Junction City, Ogden, Grandview Plaza, Milford, Keats
and Milford Lake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 845 AM CDT this morning for
portions of east central and northeast Kansas, including the
following areas, in east central Kansas, Geary. In northeast Kansas,
Pottawatomie and Riley.
The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining
road closures.
