* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Johnson County in east central Kansas...
Northern Miami County in east central Kansas...
Northern Cass County in west central Missouri...
Southern Jackson County in west central Missouri...
* WHEN...Until 630 AM CDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1223 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kansas City, Overland Park, Olathe, Lees Summit, Lenexa,
Leawood, Raytown, Grandview, Belton, Prairie Village, Raymore,
Gardner, Harrisonville, Pleasant Hill, De Soto, Spring Hill and
Greenwood.
