...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM CDT FRIDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of the Panhandle of Texas, including the
following counties, Hansford, Hutchinson, Ochiltree and Roberts.
* WHEN...Until 215 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become
impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1116 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
mainly rural areas of Southeastern Hansford, Eastern
Hutchinson, Southwestern Ochiltree and Northwestern Roberts

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for a portion of the Panhandle of
Texas, including the following areas, Hansford, Hutchinson,
Ochiltree and Roberts.
The threat for widespread flooding has increased over the area.
Therefore the Flood Advisory has been replaced by a Flood Warning.
Please refer to that bulletin for more information.
