* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Alameda County in northern California...
Contra Costa County in northern California...
* Until 615 AM PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 318 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Oakland, Fremont, Hayward, Concord, Berkeley, Richmond, Antioch,
San Leandro, Livermore, Mountain View, Alameda, San Ramon,
Pleasanton, Union City, Walnut Creek, Pittsburg, Dublin, Newark,
Danville and Martinez.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

- At 353 AM PST, Local law enforcement reported heavy rain in the
advisory area and flooding of 2 to 3 feet on northbound
Interstate 880 at Hesperian Boulevard. This will cause urban and
small stream flooding. Between 0.2 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...

The Flood Advisory will expire at 615 AM PST this morning for a
portion of northern California, including the following areas,
Alameda and Contra Costa.
The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining
road closures.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM PST Friday for portions
of central and northern California...
