* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...South Central Santa Cruz County in northern California...
* Until 615 AM PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 317 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.7 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Santa Cruz, Capitola, Live Oak, Twin Lakes, Opal Cliffs, Soquel,
Aptos, Rio Del Mar and Day Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
