...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east central Florida, including the following 
  county, Brevard.

* WHEN...Until 315 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 142 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Palm Bay, Melbourne, Malabar, Indialantic, Merritt Island,
    West Melbourne, Indian Harbour Beach, Melbourne Beach,
    Melbourne Village, June Park, Melbourne Airport and Spessard
    Holland Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law

Weather Service when you can do so safely.
