...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of Big Bend Florida, including the following 
  counties, Dixie, Lafayette and Taylor.

* WHEN...Until 930 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 631 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms over the last several days. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly as additional
    thunderstorms move into the advisory area. Between 8 and 12
    inches of rain have fallen over the last three to four days
    and additional rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour will
    likely lead to the development of flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Steinhatchee, Cross City, Howell Place, Salem, Tennille,
    Clara, Carbur, Fish Creek, Blue Springs, Jena, Bird Island,
    Cedar Island, Keaton Beach, Jonesboro, Jack Lee Island, Jug
    Island, Dekle Beach, Athena, Hines and Adams Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
