...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM PST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban area flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...San Francisco County in northern California...

* Until 715 PM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 621 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
    Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the
    advisory area.

    San Francisco.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 715 PM PST this evening for a
portion of northern California, including the following area, San
Francisco.

The heavy rain has ended. Urban area and small stream flooding is no
longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining
road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM PST Friday for portions
of central and northern California...
