...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 AM PST THURSDAY...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...
* WHAT...Residual flooding is expected to continue tonight.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest California, including the Antelope
Valley of northern Los Angeles County.
* WHEN...Until 6 AM PST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Residual flooding will likely continue tonight,
especially in low-lying areas. In addition, there will be the
threat of additional rock slides and mud slides.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 530 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated rain coverage
decreasing in coverage and intensity. However, residual
flooding of low-lying areas is likely to continue through the
night due to the earlier heavy rains. In addition, there will
likely be additional shower activity tonight which could
prompt additional flooding concerns, as well as the threat of
rockslides and mudslides.
- Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Lake Los Angeles, Palmdale, Lancaster, Quartz Hill,
Pearblossom, Llano, Littlerock, Lake Palmdale, Valyermo,
Desert View Highlands, Saddleback Butte State Park, Highway
138 between Llano and the San Bernardino County line and
Highway 138 between Quail Lake and Lancaster.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
