...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Georgia, including the following
counties, Lee and Terrell.
* WHEN...Until 915 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 712 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dawson, Leesburg, Albany, Smithville, Sasser, Bronwood,
Parrott, Bridges Crossroad, Dawson Municipal A/P,
Chickasawhatchee, Olivers Mill, Yeomans, Herod, Oakville,
Armena, Graves, Neyami, Jordan Place and Clarks Mill.
