...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of Big Bend Florida, including the following
counties, Dixie, Lafayette, Madison and Taylor.
* WHEN...Until 1045 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 740 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mayo, Perry, Cross City, Cooks Hammock, Carbur, San Pedro
Junction, Salem, Townsend, Buckville, Smith, Athena, Clara,
Fenholloway, Pinland, Tennille, Alton, Day, Foley, Mayo
Junction and Bucell Junction.
