...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northwestern Greene County in west central Ohio...
Southern Montgomery County in west central Ohio...
Southeastern Preble County in west central Ohio...
* WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 307 PM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches
of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch
are possible.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Dayton, Kettering, Beavercreek, Fairborn, Xenia, Trotwood,
Miamisburg, Bellbrook, Moraine, Oakwood, Yellow Springs,
Wright-Patterson Afb, West Carrollton, West Alexandria, Gratis,
Wilberforce, Riverside and Germantown.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
